IF

Mama was no more when i was young,
too young to know how tins should be done.
Growing up had to be fast,
because wishing her back will always be the past.

Dada? another story;
he was into polygamy with four wives.
leaving us the children to think for our lives.
he used to be there, yes,
but we always received less.

Sometimes i can afford a meal,
and sometimes its no big of a deal;
cos i gotta pay fees in school,
praying to God to see me through.

Now, i wonder, if Mama was alive,
would i wanna turn back the hands of time!

I've made mistakes, yes, uncorrectable ones,
some i wish everyday i can runaway from,
others i have grown to learn from.

If it were easy,
i will gladly go back in time,
just to hug and kiss my Mama,
just to tell her how much i lover her.

Life didn't give me a chance then,
because i was still a "cub" in her lion's den!
